To begin our skills development we were introduced to Photoshop. By following the Photoshop guide provided by my teacher I was able to complete the above advert. As someone that has never used Photoshop before in their life this was all completely new to me. However I followed the guide carefully and was able to complete the advert in just one lesson; and even help others with theirs as well. Surprisingly I had some fun completing this task. I learnt the basics of Photoshop and then used those basics to create an image of my own.
After being tasked with putting something of our own together on Photoshop I decided to do something related to one of my favorite TV shows. DVD covers are never just one photo, they are put together the same way I did my first task. So I started to work on my own DVD cover for the TV show NCIS Los Angeles. The above image is what I finished with. This was actually my fourth attempt as my first three were very much trial and error with a lot of errors along the way. For the final image I used the same techniques I had learnt from the first task; and if I do say so myself it turned our pretty good. I am very happy with it.
